Get Yo’ Pie On

I’m not one to spread rumors.

BUT.

According to their web site, the Hampden location of Dangersouly Delicious Pies is open.

Maybe after the non-national retail chain repair service appointment on Saturday (after that fiasco, I found a local company who was more than happy to have a live person make an appointment with me that I have every expectation will be kept), the mistah and I can make a run into Hampden for some Dangerously Delicious Pie.

But maybe I should call first.  Just to be sure they are in fact open.  So if you call and get a busy signal, that would be me jamming their lines so you think they aren’t open and don’t come and eat all the pie before we get there.

Sadly, in the time since this first posted on Exit 51, the Hampden location of Dangerously Delicious closed.  However, they are still serving up seriously good pie from the shop on Light Street.

  1. I have a love hate with DD. Love them when they were on Fleet Street. Didn’t love it when they left.

  2. Lan says:

had my first DDpie over the summer and i was skeptical. until i tasted the BALTIMORE BOMB. it was SIN in every bite. i would sin everyday for the rest of my life to figure out that friggin recipe (after sweet mary taught me how to make pie crust…). as father leo would say, “dramatical much?”

    • Wendi says:

Lan, they didn’t call themselves Dangerously Delicious for nothing. I’ve decided to just go ahead and schedule a private pie class with Mary.

  3. Brooke says:

Would you believe I don’t care for pie?? I know. It sounds ridiculous as the words leave my mouth. I’m a cake girl. Give me cake and I’m happy. I do appreciate a custard pie every now and then but cake for the win.

    • Wendi says:

Boo, I can’t say that I understand not loving pie but I will not allow that to come between us. I do believe a good pie is a thing of beauty. And if you don’t want that slice, I’ll gladly take it off your hands ; )

  4. You totally sold me on Dangerously Delicious in Hampton, frightened the life out of me when you said they’d closed & now I’m sighing with relief that there’s a Light Street DD. (Actually, haven’t heard of DD’s, but your not so quietly addiction to it is a good enough recommendation for me). Shall be keeping a look out for them next over your way :)
