Peanut Butter Cup

Peanut Butter Cup

Ok, so these happened.  But like many DIY food projects in my kitchen, I don’t know that I would ever make them again.  Especially when Trader Joe has the most delicious dark chocolate peanut butter cups on the face of the earth.  #seriously

To satisfy your own curiosity, you can check out this post on Sprouted Kitchen…it’s the recipe I worked from.  Now if you’ll excuse me, I have Very Special Birthday Party to start fretting over since I failed to make arrangements with the Birthday Party Fairy.

  1. one of these things i missed when i went dairy free was reese’s cups. the homemade stuff, especially if you buy organic, can be expensive but is so dang goooood. i mean. GOOD.

PS. let me know if you need any help, even if it’s just to distract baby Libby for a few hours!

    1. I don’t want to imagine a world without peanut butter cups.  But I prefer it if I don’t have to be the one to make them ; )

And you are always welcome to come distract a curious toddler whenever you like.

  2. This is the Pennsylvania in me talking, but I will always love Reese’s peanut butter cups more than anything I could make on my own. One or two of those from the freezer and I am *set*.

Good luck with the party planning!

    1. How did you know that when I have a stash of pb cups, I keep them in the freezer?  Two of them hit the after dinner sweet spot.

I’m not ashamed to say that I outsourced the party to our favorite local bbq joint.  Now if someone would just come and get my house presentable for the pre and post party visits from my inlaws, that would be spectacular.  I could pay you in peanut butter cups….
